Install each panel as indicated on Architect’s drawings and in accordance with Eckel’s printed instructions, using approved anchors and fasteners. This functional approach to acoustic control is less expensive than continuous ceiling or wall treatment.

Field measurement and computer modelling are used to collect data and devise a noise reduction solution, considering both physical and auditory site conditions, to determine the best acoustic panel layout for required outcomes within budgetary considerations.
High performance, durable and versatile acoustic panels increase the intelligibility of speech, mitigate distracting and intolerable auditory conditions, and decrease the risk of harm from exposure to excessive noise.
Examine surfaces where panels will be installed. Do not begin installation until unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected. Install panels on walls and ceilings in locations and in patterns indicated on Architect’s drawings and in accordance with manufacturer’s printed instructions, using approved anchors and fasteners. Use four ¼” (6mm) diameter fasteners appropriate for substrate designated for panel mounting and install, following the fastener manufacturer’s instructions. Recommended fasteners include, but are not limited to the following:
Steel Metal Deck
ITW Buildex Metal Teks Screws or equal
Drywall/Hollow Wall:
Rawl Polly Hollow Wall Anchors or equal
Concrete, Block, Brick & Stone:
Hilti Metal Hit Anchor or equal; Rawl Tapper Hex Head Concrete Screw or equal
Use supplied ¼-20 X 1” hex head bolt to attach panel to supplied and properly installed mounting.
After installation of acoustic panels, clean all dirty or discolored surfaces, using acceptable cleaning materials and methods. Replace damaged components as directed by the Architect. Remove debris caused by installation frequently. At completion of acoustic panel installation, remove all crates, cartons, packages, and debris from the project site.
Since Eckel Acoustic Panels are inert, there is no preventive maintenance required. Should the panels become dirty, they may be cleaned with a mild solution of soap and water.
Should re-painting become necessary, it is important that the acoustic fill be removed from the panels prior to painting. Paint should never be applied with a brush or roller, instead, utilize spray painting to prevent paint from filling the surface. The panels were factory painted with a polyurethane enamel paint and it is recommended to use polyurethane enamel paint when re-painting.
